Dropkick Murphys kicked off their annual St. Paddy’s Day run at the MGM Music Hall at Fenway in Boston, Massachusetts on March 13, 2026. They also performed there Saturday and Sunday. These shows were all part of the FOR THE PEOPLE…IN THE PIT SAINT PATRICK’S DAY TOUR 2026. It is also the bands 30 year anniversary. We were there to cover the madness for Sunday’s Red Bandana Night show. This was in honor of BC Alum Welles Crowther, who is attributed with saving at least 18 people on September 11, 2001. Haywire, The Ducky Boys, and The Unseen were also on the bill for the night.
Haywire opened things up for the night, beginning their set with The Boys Are Back in Town (Thin Lizzy). The highlight of their set was when Ken Casey joined them for New England Forever. They ended with Like a Train.
Next up was The Ducky Boys. They began their set with For the Underdogs. Some fan favorites they played were Pass You By, Alone Tonight, and Stand By Me (Ben E. King).
The Unseen then came out in direct support of DKM. They performed songs like Live in Fear, Weapons of Mass Deception, and Dead Weight Falls.
Once Dropkick Murphys came out, they kicked their set off with Deeds Not Words. From there, they mixed in top songs like The State of Massachusetts, Barroom Hero, and Rose Tattoo. They mixed some covers in throughout their set as well. One Day (The Pinkerton Thugs), The Green Fields of France (Eric Bogle), and Always By My Side (Haywire). We got a three song encore to wrap up the evening. The Boys Are Back, A Hero Among Many (with Welles Crowther’s mother on stage), and I’m Shipping Up to Boston.
KEEPING UP WITH DROPKICK MURPHYS
Dropkick Murphys played at the House of Blues Boston on March 17, 2026 to wrap up the Boston weekend. They have also just announced a short acoustic set on March 28,2026 for the No Kings Rally at Boston Common. They will then be off until June, when they will start a run of shows overseas. First up is the Energik Festival in Shawinigan, Canada on June 11, 2026. The final of 28 planned dates will take place August 15, 2026 at Highfield Festival in Leipzig, Germany.
