Bluestar Radiation hit Soundcheck Studios in Pembroke, Massachusetts on November 19, 2023. They were joined by Al & Rob of moe., who opened the show up. This was the final night of the run, which spanned four nights. Al & Rob will continue their Moe.stly Acoustic run of shows with five more nights on the east coast. Their final show will be February 3, 2024 at the Portland House of Music and Events in Portland, Maine. Photos and recap provided by Joanna Gleason and Jean Sénat Fleury.

“It was a pleasant night” said Joanna, who was sitting next to me in the car as we drove home from the show. We were on the way home from the show. I spied my wife in the dark, the joy was in all parts of her face. Addressing to me again, she added, “The photos are great!” I knew she meant her photographs for the website “Dance Your Face Off”. Effectively, it was a perfect night. The environment was charming inside, with the stage full of instruments. Guitars, drums, keyboard, microphones and more. Everyone in the team had played a big role in the success of the night. From the manager Tom Papp, to the lighting designer Vince Pugliese and audio engineer David Thurston.

AL & ROB

It was 8:15 p.m. when the opener arrived on stage: Al & Rob Moe.stly Acoustic. Moe. guitarist Al Schnier and bassist Rob Derhak played their music with passion and energy. They began Sunday’s show with classic moe. songs, Time Again and Ups And Downs. They continued with covers of Little Feat’s Willin and the Rolling Stones’ Dead Flowers. The duo then played Mexico and New York. A cute moment came as Rob and Al spoke about their longtime friendship, living together in a messy house. A fan who requested a song of Led Zeppelin’s Over the Hills and Far Away was satisfied in his request. The Wingman became crazy, jumping and dancing all over the place. Schnier and Derhak ended the first part of the show with Deep This Time and Gone. The fans were very excited, and loudly applauded them as they left the stage with honor and merit.
