Dropkick Murphys brought their St. Patrick’s Day Weekend Celebration to the MGM Music Hall at Fenway. The show took place on March 15, 2024. This was the second show of a four night run in Boston, and first of three at the MGM Music Hall. The Scratch opened things up for the night, with Pennywise following. Pennywise is on the bill for all four nights, but there is a different opener each night. Pennywise performed fan favorites like Fuck Authority, Stand by Me (Ben E. King), and Bro Hymn throughout their 13 song set leading up to DKM.
Once Dropkick hit the stage, they started off with For Boston. The Boys Are Back, The State Of Massachusetts, Rose Tattoo, and I’m Shipping Up to Boston were amongst some of their more popular songs performed. Some covers mixed in included The Irish Rover (Joseph M. Crofts), The Auld Triangle (Brendan Bean), and The Body of an American (The Pogues). They ended their initial 23 song set with Until Next Time. After a brief break, they came back out to deliver a two song encore. First up was Barroom Hero, followed by Kiss me, I’m Shitfaced to officially cap the night off. For those interested, you can find the complete setlist from the show.
KEEPING UP WITH DROPKICK MURPHYS
DKM will be hosting the Claddagh Fund Mini-Concert this afternoon at the MGM Music Hall before their main show tonight. They will wrap up the Boston run tomorrow on St. Paddy’s Day. There will be a livestream of the show as well, so head to their website to grab tickets. After this weekend, they will be performing at the St. Patrick’s Celebration of Sinéad O’Connor & Shane McGowan at Carnegie Hall on March 20, 2024. They will then be off until May, when they perform at the Lost Highway Motorcycle Show + Concert 2024. That is set to take place at Poconos Park in Pike County, Pennsylvania on May 17, 2024.
