Eggy came to Boston’s Brighton Music Hall on November 16, 2023. They were joined by the Funky Dawgz, who opened up the show. The Funky Dawgz Brass Band are a six piece brass band out of Connecticut. They bring the funk, while also mixing in a hip-hop twist. They have one upcoming show at the Edmond Town Hall in Newtown, Connecticut. Photos provided by Joanna Gleason.
Once Eggy hit the stage, they started things out with One Stop Shop. Sweat Equity, Come Up Slow, and Boom or Bust were some of the other jams mixed into the nine song set. Covers thrown in included Feelin’ Alright? (Joe Cocker). Later, they performed Bitch Is Back (Elton John). They wrapped it up by performing the Eggy Birthday Song and Wayless. After a brief break, they came out and gave the crowd an encore. They jammed Zugzwang before sending the packed house home completely satisfied. KEEPING UP WITH EGGY
Eggy will be finishing up this run of shows on November 19, 2023. They will be playing at the 8×10 in Baltimore, Maryland. It won’t be long before they hit the road again though. Starting on November 29, 2023, they will begin a run of shows with Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country. The first show will take place in Columbia, South Carolina at the Hargay Capitol Theatre. They will be playing a total of twelve shows together, wrapping up at the Railgarten in Memphis, Tennessee on December 13, 2023.
