G. LOVE AND SPECIAL SAUCE – CITY WINERY BOSTON

G. Love and Special Sauce stopped by the City Winery Boston on January 24, 2024. This was the first of back to back nights at the venue. These shows were part of the 30th Anniversary Tour, which consists of 42 total shows. Jakobs Castle is also along for the ride, opening things up each night. Jakobs Castle is fronted by Jakob Nowell, son of the late Bradley Nowell of Sublime. They played a nice little mix of originals and Sublime covers. Originals included Catch Me and Time Traveler, while April 29, 1992 (Miami) and Garden Grove were amongst the Sublime songs featured.

MIHALI – THE MET

Mihali stopped by The Met in Pawtucket, Rhode Island on December 30, 2023. This show was part of his Mihalidaze run of shows. Rosewood Apothecary were also on the bill, as they kicked things off for the evening. They delivered an eight song set, including top songs like Down Mamma and Castaways. RYAN MONTBLEAU – BRIGHTON MUSIC HALL

Ryan Montbleau rolled through Brighton Music Hall in Brighton, Massachusetts on December 16, 2023. Chris Jacobs opened things up for the evening, as well as the previous two shows. Chris and his band put on an excellent performance to set the stage for the headliner. This finished off a 21 run of show that kicked off at the 8×10 in Baltimore, Maryland on November 1, 2023. EGGY – BRIGHTON MUSIC HALL

Eggy came to Boston’s Brighton Music Hall on November 16, 2023. They were joined by the Funky Dawgz, who opened up the show. The Funky Dawgz Brass Band are a six piece brass band out of Connecticut. They bring the funk, while also mixing in a hip-hop twist. They have one upcoming show at the Edmond Town Hall in Newtown, Connecticut. Photos provided by Joanna Gleason.

MAGIC BEANS – SOUNDCHECK STUDIOS

Magic Beans stopped by Soundcheck Studios in Pembroke, Massachusetts on November 3, 2023. This show was the first of back to back nights at Soundcheck, and the second to last stop on their 16 show fall tour run. They were joined by Guess Method, who opened things up for the night. Guess Method is a Rhode Island based band, and they have a show scheduled for November 25, 2023 at Ragged Island Brewing Company in Portsmouth, Rhode Island.

Pigeons Playing Ping Pong performed a The Who Fighters set in celebration of Halloween. Songs by The Who and Foo Fighters were highlighted throughout the night. This show took place at the College Street Music Hall in New Haven, Connecticut. It was the second of two Halloween shows, played on October 29, 2022. They were also joined by the Funky Dawgz Brass Band, who opened things up for the night in style.

PHISH – XFINITY CENTER

Phish performed at the Xfinity Center in Mansfield, Massachusetts. The show took place on Thursday July 14, 2022. This was their first of back to back nights at the venue. It also officially kicked off the summer portion of their tour. Overall, the spring and summer tour will span thirty-four dates.

Lionel Richie at Mohegan Sun Arena

LIONEL RICHIE – MOHEGAN SUN ARENA

Lionel Richie swung through Uncasville, Connecticut to perform at the Mohegan Sun Arena. This show took place on Saturday June 25, 2022. He delivered a 17 song set, including the encore. Throughout the night we witnessed songs from the famed funk band the Commodores. We also saw many of his solo songs, as well as a nice little version of We Are the World by USA for Africa.

THE GREYBOY ALLSTARS

The Greyboy Allstars visited Soundcheck Studios in Pembroke, MA on Tuesday, April 5, 2022. This was part of their Get a Job Tour 2022. The band consists of Karl Denson, Elgin Park, Aaron Redfield, Chris Stillwell and Robert Walker. Karl Denson has quite the illustrious career as a jazz musician. Not only is there Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe, he’s also been associated with acts like Lenny Kravitz, The Rolling Stones, and Slightly Stoopid. The band delivered two sets (plus an encore), totaling 18 songs on the evening.
