Island Rhodes Music Festival held its inaugural event at Centreville Bank Stadium in Pawtucket, Rhode Island on August 15-16, 2026. This was the first ever festival held at this venue. The stadium opened in May of 2025. It serves as the home stadium for the Rhode Island FC.
The festival kicked off with Beach Fly taking the stage. Next up was Grateful Dub. This project is a reggaefied version of Grateful Dead, performed by the band Roots of Creation. After that, Bumpin Uglies hit the stage. Led by Brandon Hardesty out of Maryland, they have been a staple in the reggae-rock scene for years now. Next up was Denm. He brought the Cali vibes and performed favorites like Life’s 2 Short and My Wave. We then got a change in style with Action Bronson taking the stage. He battled through some technical difficulties, but still delivered a crowd pleasing set. After another brief delay, Iration came out and set the tone for the rest of the night. The sound was spot on as they delivered fan favorites like Summer Nights and Time Bomb.
The stage was set for the headliners to come out and crush it, and starting with Slightly Stoopid, that’s just what they did. With a couple of local guys (Paul Wolstencroft and Daniel Delacruz), they are always a fan favorite here in New England. They delivered hits like Officer, No Cocaine, and Up On A Plane. They also brought out a familiar face in Chali 2na for a few songs. After Slighty Stoopid wrapped up their set, it was time for Sublime. They came out kicking their set off with Date Rape. From there, they mixed in bangers like Garden Grove, Badfish, and What I Got. They also showcased some of their newer material with songs like Ensenada and Until The Sun Explodes. They wrapped up their set and day one of Island Rhodes with Santeria.
