Florida Groves Music Festival came to the Central Florida Fairgrounds in Orlando on April 13-14, 2024. It boasted an impressively diverse lineup. Saturday was headlined by Michael Franti & Spearhead. It also featured bands like Two Feet, Tribal Seeds, Tropidelic, Sierra Lane and more. Sunday’s headliner was Milky Chance. The Elovaters, Atmosphere, Shwayze, Passafire, Of Good Nature and more rounded out the lineup for Sunday. All photographs and recap were provided by Joelle Cohen.

Levitate Flannel Jam came back to the Marshfield Fairgrounds on October 8, 2023. They also made a stop on Nantucket the following day. Marshfield’s lineup had a few extra acts on the bill, including a special duo set with Mihali (Twiddle) and Jackson Wetherbee (The Elovaters). From the music, to the food and flannels, there was plenty to celebrate.

          I had the amazing opportunity to interview El Dub (Lee Walsh) looping artist, and one man band. We talked about his latest album, as well as life during a Nationwide Pandemic due to the Covid-19 Virus. El Dub, whom has kept a very heavy touring schedule for years, has long been blessing the world with his amazing music. Music that is filled with messages of peace, love, positivity, healing and family. If you have never heard of El Dub, I highly suggest you get yourself familiar. However, the real magic, is to catch him live and watch the master at work. He’s known to change his music style to best fit the crowd he is playing for, making him an extremely versatile artist as well.      Just like the great white sharks have returned to Cape Cod, so too has the second annual Cape Cod Roots and Blues Festival. Nassuet Beach in Orleans, Massachusetts will yet again be the spot of what has quickly become one of the Cape’s premier events. The Cape Cod Roots & Blues Festival is the brain child of Garrett Dutton (AKA G Love), the front man from G love & Special Sauce. A man who has his own hot sauce (G Love’s Special Hot Sauce), and a beer made by GoodLife Brewing Company ( G Love’s Special Sauce – The Juice IPA), now has his own annual festival. After moving to the Cape, he wanted to not only bring together the community, but also bring together some very well known musicians/friends to play, while still having that small town Cape Cod feel.
