Moon Taxi hit the Paradise Rock Club in Boston, Massachusetts on November 8, 2023. This was part of their Set Yourself Free Tour. They are an American Indie-alternative rock band based in Nashville, Tennessee. The band was founded in 2006 by Trevor Terndrup (vocals,guitar) Tommy Putnam (bass) Spencer Thompson (guitar programing) Tyler Ritter (Drums) and Wes Bailey (keys) while attending Belmont University. They are able to push the boundaries of their genre with songs ranging from Rock, to Bluegrass. They have released six studio albums, and signed to RCA records in 2017. The Stews opened things up to the delight of their large group of enthusiastic supporters. Their electric version of rock music is fantastic, and the crowd loved them. The stews were formed in early 2021 when the four of them decided to leave Auburn University and try the touring circuit with their live shows to great success. They recorded their first LP at Muscle Shoals on April 15, 2022. The Stews band members originally met in high school and college, with Preston Hall (vocals,Guitar) Blake Debbs (guitar) Bennett Baygus (bass) and Wyatt Griffith (drums).
Once Moon Taxi hit the stage, they kicked things off with Walk Out. Highlights from their set included All Day All Night, Lay Low, and Two High. They ended their set with Morocco. In all, they played a 19 song set.
KEEPING UP WITH MOON TAXI
Moon Taxi will be continuing to tour into next month, with their last scheduled date currently set for December 9, 2023. This show is set to take place at the Summit Music Hall in Denver, Colorado. Key stops along the way include New York, Texas, and Oklahoma. They currently have no scheduled tour dates for 2024, so keep an eye out on their socials for some announcements.
