Tedeschi Trucks Band came to the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts on September 27, 2023 for their The Garden Parties run of shows. Lukas Nelson and Promise of the Real were along for the tour, opening things up for the night. They performed a ten song set, beginning with Sticks and Stones. They mixed in fan favorite Carolina and Find Yourself, and ended with Set Me Down on a Cloud. You can check out their full setlist from the evening.
When Derek and Susan took the stage, they kicked things off with Woman to Woman, a Joe Cocker cover. Hear My Dear and Midnight In Harlem were featured during their sixteen song set. There was also a bevy of cover songs, as well as a Susan Tedeschi and Derek Trucks Band song. Just Won’t Burn was the Susan Tedeschi song of choice, while Swamp Raga was the Derek Trucks Band tune. Covers featured included Dreams (The Allman Brothers), Into the Mystic (Van Morrison), and Blue Sky (The Allman Brothers). Warren Haynes joined them for all three, and Lukas Nelson jumped in on Blue Sky. Finally, we were treated to a three song encore. I Can’t Make You Love Me, Bound For Glory, and I Walk on Guilded Splinters (Dr. John) were the songs of choice. Feel free to check out the complete setlist from the night.
KEEPING UP WITH TEDESCHI TRUCKS BAND
Derek and Susan are hitting Japan next. They are scheduled for five shows in six days, starting October 20, 2023. The first three will be taking place at the Tokyo Dome City Hall. They will then wrap the trip up with back to back nights in Nagoya and Osaka. After a brief break, they will be sailing off on The Big Easy Cruise out of New Orleans on November 6, 2023. It looks like 2024 is shaping up to be an exciting year as well. They’ll kick things of in Mexico at the Dead Ahead Festival. There is a three night run at the Beacon Theatre in New York set for February 29, 2024 to March 2, 2024.
