Lionel Richie swung through Uncasville, Connecticut to perform at the Mohegan Sun Arena. This show took place on Saturday June 25, 2022. He delivered a 17 song set, including the encore. Throughout the night we witnessed songs from the famed funk band the Commodores. We also saw many of his solo songs, as well as a nice little version of We Are the World by USA for Africa.
Lionel kicked the night off by performing Running With the Night. Of course he came out dazzling in his All Night Long jacket as well. He followed that up by hopping on the piano for a rendition of Easy. Throughout the night, Lionel went on to play top hits including Stuck on You, Dancing on the Ceiling, and Endless Love. He also came out for a one song encore to end the evening. He made it count, as it was the much anticipated hit All Night Long. Lionel has a string of shows coming up at the Encore Theatre in Las Vegas, Nevada. The first show is scheduled for August fifth, and they will run into late October. He’s also due to hit the Wind Creek Event Center in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania on August 27, 2022 to a sold out crowd. Mohegan Sun will also be staying busy per usual. 5 Seconds of Summer and Barenaked Ladies will be taking over there this weekend. Their month of July will wrap up with Death Cab for Cutie, Third Eye Blind, One Republic and finally Shawn Mendes.
