The 2023 Boston Music Awards took place at Big Night Live in Boston, Massachusetts on December 20, 2023. The award show was presented by Jack Daniel’s. Founded in 1987, the BMA’s is one of the longest running music award shows in the region. Nominees included huge names like Noah Kahan, Joyner Lucas, The Elovaters, PVRIS, Ripe and more.
Ryan Montbleau rolled through Brighton Music Hall in Brighton, Massachusetts on December 16, 2023. Chris Jacobs opened things up for the evening, as well as the previous two shows. Chris and his band put on an excellent performance to set the stage for the headliner. This finished off a 21 run of show that kicked off at the 8×10 in Baltimore, Maryland on November 1, 2023. Max Creek came to Soundcheck Studios in Pembroke, Massachusetts on Friday December 15, 2023. This was the first of back to back nights at the venue for their Holiday Creekend. This band has been jamming over a span of five decades already. Scott Murawski, Mark Mercier, and John Rider have all been a part of the lineup since the 70’s. Darlingside came to The Sinclair in Cambridge, Massachusetts on December 9, 2023. Field Guide was also on the bill as the opener for the evening. This show was their second of the day, as they played an early seated show also at The Sinclair. They have been touring heavily in support of their latest album, Everything Is Alive. Straight No Chaser came to the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut on December 8, 2023 for their Sleighin’ It Tour. This has been a massive tour, as they kicked it off on October 20, 2023 in Kalispell, Montana. Next up they will be heading to Pennsylvania, where they are scheduled to perform three shows in three different venues. The tour will wrap up with a four night run in California beginning on December 27, 2023 in Thousand Oaks, leading into their final show. Things will conclude in Mesa, Arizona on December 31, 2023. The tour will span 56 shows in 27 states.
Pink Talking Fish came to Soundcheck Studios in Pembroke, Massachusetts on November 24, 2023. They were joined by Quadrafunk, who opened things up for the evening. Quadrafunk and frontman Mark King are no strangers to Soundcheck Studios. They were part of the venues very first show on October 6, 2018.
