PWHL – BOSTON VS MINNESOTA

PWHL Boston took on PWHL Minnesota at the Tsongas Center in Lowell, Massachusetts on January 27, 2024. This was a rematch of Boston’s home opener, which they lost 3-2. Boston came into this matchup looking for their first home win, as they started out 0-2 at the Tsongas Center. Fortunately, they have gone 3-0 on the road to begin the season.

G. LOVE AND SPECIAL SAUCE – CITY WINERY BOSTON

G. Love and Special Sauce stopped by the City Winery Boston on January 24, 2024. This was the first of back to back nights at the venue. These shows were part of the 30th Anniversary Tour, which consists of 42 total shows. Jakobs Castle is also along for the ride, opening things up each night. Jakobs Castle is fronted by Jakob Nowell, son of the late Bradley Nowell of Sublime. They played a nice little mix of originals and Sublime covers. Originals included Catch Me and Time Traveler, while April 29, 1992 (Miami) and Garden Grove were amongst the Sublime songs featured.

Get The Led Out at the Lynn Auditorium

GET THE LED OUT – LYNN AUDITORIUM

Get The Led Out came to the Lynn Auditorium in Lynn, Massachusetts on January 19, 2024. An eager crowd packed the house. This show was the second of a three night Massachusetts run. They were at the Plymouth Memorial Hall the previous night, and then the Symphony Hall in Springfield, Massachusetts the following night. All photographs were provided by Joanna Gleason.

MIHALI – THE MET

Mihali stopped by The Met in Pawtucket, Rhode Island on December 30, 2023. This show was part of his Mihalidaze run of shows. Rosewood Apothecary were also on the bill, as they kicked things off for the evening. They delivered an eight song set, including top songs like Down Mamma and Castaways. PWHL BOSTON VS PWHL MINNESOTA – TSONGAS CENTER

The PWHL Boston team kicked off their first ever game against the PWHL Minnesota. The game took place on January 3, 2024 at the Tsongas Center in Lowell, Massachusetts. Former Boston Bruin Captain Patrice Bergeron and his family were in the house. They came out to drop the ceremonial first puck. Captain Hilary Knight handed the puck off to Patrice as he left the ice. The National Anthem was then performed by Michelle Brooks-Thompson, setting the stage for the opening faceoff.

Shinedown at Foxwoods Premier Theater

SHINEDOWN – FOXWOODS

Shinedown came to the Foxwoods Premier Theater on December 29, 2023. The show was sold out, as the theater was completely packed with eager fans. There was no opener for this show, so we were treated to a nice long set. You could feel the extra energy put into this show, as it was their final appearance of 2023.

The 2023 Boston Music Awards at Big Night Live

BOSTON MUSIC AWARDS – BIG NIGHT LIVE

The 2023 Boston Music Awards took place at Big Night Live in Boston, Massachusetts on December 20, 2023. The award show was presented by Jack Daniel’s. Founded in 1987, the BMA’s is one of the longest running music award shows in the region. Nominees included huge names like Noah Kahan, Joyner Lucas, The Elovaters, PVRIS, Ripe and more.

Ryan Montbleau at Brighton Music Hall on December 16, 2023

RYAN MONTBLEAU – BRIGHTON MUSIC HALL

Ryan Montbleau rolled through Brighton Music Hall in Brighton, Massachusetts on December 16, 2023. Chris Jacobs opened things up for the evening, as well as the previous two shows. Chris and his band put on an excellent performance to set the stage for the headliner. This finished off a 21 run of show that kicked off at the 8×10 in Baltimore, Maryland on November 1, 2023. Max Creek at Soundcheck Studios on December 15, 2023

MAX CREEK – SOUNDCHECK STUDIOS

Max Creek came to Soundcheck Studios in Pembroke, Massachusetts on Friday December 15, 2023. This was the first of back to back nights at the venue for their Holiday Creekend. This band has been jamming over a span of five decades already. Scott Murawski, Mark Mercier, and John Rider have all been a part of the lineup since the 70’s.
