Mihali stopped by The Met in Pawtucket, Rhode Island on December 30, 2023. This show was part of his Mihalidaze run of shows. Rosewood Apothecary were also on the bill, as they kicked things off for the evening. They delivered an eight song set, including top songs like Down Mamma and Castaways. Shinedown came to the Foxwoods Premier Theater on December 29, 2023. The show was sold out, as the theater was completely packed with eager fans. There was no opener for this show, so we were treated to a nice long set. You could feel the extra energy put into this show, as it was their final appearance of 2023.
Max Creek came to Soundcheck Studios in Pembroke, Massachusetts on Friday December 15, 2023. This was the first of back to back nights at the venue for their Holiday Creekend. This band has been jamming over a span of five decades already. Scott Murawski, Mark Mercier, and John Rider have all been a part of the lineup since the 70’s. Pink Talking Fish came to Soundcheck Studios in Pembroke, Massachusetts on November 24, 2023. They were joined by Quadrafunk, who opened things up for the evening. Quadrafunk and frontman Mark King are no strangers to Soundcheck Studios. They were part of the venues very first show on October 6, 2018. Bluestar Radiation hit Soundcheck Studios in Pembroke, Massachusetts on November 19, 2023. They were joined by Al & Rob of moe., who opened the show up. This was the final night of the run, which spanned four nights. Al & Rob will continue their Moe.stly Acoustic run of shows with five more nights on the east coast. Eggy came to Boston’s Brighton Music Hall on November 16, 2023. They were joined by the Funky Dawgz, who opened up the show. The Funky Dawgz Brass Band are a six piece brass band out of Connecticut. They bring the funk, while also mixing in a hip-hop twist. They have one upcoming show at the Edmond Town Hall in Newtown, Connecticut. Photos provided by Joanna Gleason.
Magic Beans stopped by Soundcheck Studios in Pembroke, Massachusetts on November 3, 2023. This show was the first of back to back nights at Soundcheck, and the second to last stop on their 16 show fall tour run. They were joined by Guess Method, who opened things up for the night. Guess Method is a Rhode Island based band, and they have a show scheduled for November 25, 2023 at Ragged Island Brewing Company in Portsmouth, Rhode Island.
Needtobreathe brought The Caves World Tour to the sold out MGM Music Hall at Fenway in Boston, Massachusetts on November 11, 2023. Judah and the Lion opened things up, bringing their high energy folk rock. The band consists of Judah Akers (lead vocals,guitar), Brian Macdonald (mandolin,backup vocals), Nate Zuercher (banjo) Garrett Tyler (drums), Carson Cody (keys) and Dylan Oglesby (electric guitar). They are from Nashville, Tennessee and have released four studio albums. The band’s shows are high energy affairs, with the signature banjo driven folk rock songs. Slightly Stoopid came blazing through the Xfinity Center in Mansfield, Massachusetts on August 25, 2023 for their Summertime 2023 Tour. Sublime with Rome, Atmosphere, and The Movement were all on the bill as well. The tour ran for 27 shows, kicking off off July 6, 2023 in Auburn, Washington. Things wrapped up September 3, 2023 in West Palm Beach, Florida.
Moon Taxi hit the Paradise Rock Club in Boston, Massachusetts on November 8, 2023. This was part of their Set Yourself Free Tour. They are an American Indie-alternative rock band based in Nashville, Tennessee. The band was founded in 2006 by Trevor Terndrup (vocals,guitar) Tommy Putnam (bass) Spencer Thompson (guitar programing) Tyler Ritter (Drums) and Wes Bailey (keys) while attending Belmont University. They are able to push the boundaries of their genre with songs ranging from Rock, to Bluegrass. They have released six studio albums, and signed to RCA records in 2017.
